Restore Parental Rights

In Education

Restore Parental Rights (“RPR”) is an Arizona-based grassroots partner for families, educators, and school board members who contend for student safety, district transparency, and scholarly success. RPR’s mission is to awaken and empower everyday citizens who advocate for excellence in K-12 education. RPR envisions every parent exercising their authority and functioning as the primary stakeholders of their children’s education.

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him. - Ps. 127:3

Invest in Private K-12 Education

RPR believes the highest means of restoring parental rights in education begins with families functioning as the foundational support for children. Parents* are chief student advocates, gatekeepers of knowledge, and stewards of souls. Consider partnering with community members to form a cooperative education group or re-employ displaced teachers for private instruction. Research, evaluate options, and assess every provision to effectively fulfill the most essential role in the upbringing of your children.

*For advocacy purposes, parent refers to biological parents, legal guardians, caretakers, and anyone directly responsible for the welfare and upbringing of minor children.

Safeguard Students in Public Schools

RPR is an advocate for parents, students, and educators who occupy public education systems. While homeschooling and private instruction are beneficial for some families, RPR recognizes how traditional learning experiences and extracurricular activities can impact social development. Families that utilize government schools should actively partner with teachers and administrators to maintain healthy mental, emotional, and physical boundaries for students. When parents play a leading role in public education, district leaders are encouraged to uphold the law and act with integrity on school grounds.

Advocate for Academic Success

RPR believes quality education for all students is possible when parents, educators, and lawmakers cooperate to foster conducive learning environments. Formal education is a privilege and opportunity made available to every American citizen. Low test scores, staffing deficits, and insufficient professional training can often be attributed to poor time management, misguided priorities, and a lack of fiscal responsibility. Although some challenges appear insurmountable, dedicated and engaged parents have the authority to directly influence their students’ academic success.

“The liberty of parents to direct the upbringing, education, health care and mental health of their children is a fundamental right.”
